Mechanical Engineer / Analyst in Downers Grove, IL

Team members will be responsible for evaluation of tanks, pressure vessels, shells, and plate structures per ASME Boiler code Section VIII. Determine thermal boundary conditions for thermal mechanical, & seismic loads Apply finite element analysis (FEA) methods to verify design as per ASME Boiler Code for mechanical and thermal/mechanical loading conditions. Stability analysis and model test correlation report for vessel & tank support structures, foundations etc. Must have experience with plate and shell structures in their design and analysis. Tools used including ANSYS and ability to develop macros & scripting (using APDL; Ansys Parametric Design Language) Requires minimum of Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, or Civil / Structural Engineering, Masters Degree preferred.
